As part of the contract with the Norwegian Coastal Administration for the delivery of offshore oil recovery systems to the Barentshav-class, AllMaritim commissioned in week 16 the second NorMar 200TI in a series of three, for the crew onboard the latest Coastguard vessel; KV Bergen.
The exercise was carried out over two days, of which the first contained a theoretical introduction and dock training at Haakonsvern naval base. The second day consisted of a practical part where the skimmerhead was deployed into the sea and run together with 300m of oil booms in configuration.
AllMaritim held a similar course earlier this year for the crew onboard KV Barentshav - now only KV Sortland remains.
