Managing and control of minor oil spills in a maritime environment.
Since 1988, AllMaritim has supplied solutions for handling oil spills. We have extensive experience from many types of spills, everything from minor incidents in coastal waters to international oil disasters. One thing is for sure, no two spills are the same! It is important to have an overview of which products you have at your disposal, to have knowledge of the properties and which limitations they have. Good preparedness is rarely built around one solution or one product, but a combination of solutions that work together.
To give an example of some of our products put into a system, in the picture below we have created an illustration of an oil spill at a quay. Below you will find a description and characteristics of each product. There are also links to each product if you want more information.
ECOSORB sorbent boom with skirt. An oil boom that is easy to handle and can be connected to the reach the desired length. Acts as barrier and absorbs oil. Excellent absorbent capacity, up to 50 liters per meter. 25 cm deep skirt ensures that the oil is blocked in and retained.
ECOSORB sorbent boom.Used for absorbing oil at sea. Preferably as in the illustration above, as a absorption unit on the inside of a conventional oil boom or sorbent boom with skirts.
ECOSORB sorbent sweep veil. Absorption of oil film/blueshine and small spills. Available in continuous lengths of 22 m. This makes it possible to effectively handle larger areas contaminated by oil film.
NorMar mini Weir Skimmer. For larger quantities of oil or thicker oil that can't be absorbed with sorbent booms, skimmers are a cost-effective way of getting the oil up. The oil from the surface is sucked up to a suitable storage tank or directly to a suction truck. Can be delivered as a complete solution in a box including a pump that fits a normal 220V socket.
Oil Boom Readiness Storage Crate. Large crate for oil booms and sorbent products. The crate can accommodate 100 meters of sorbent boom with skirt. This gives an absorbent capacity of well over 2,000 litres. Can be supplied on request with a combination of absorbents and necessary protective equipment.
ECOPOOL - Self-Raising Tanks. When you pump up oil, you must have somewhere to dispose of the oil. Ordinary tanks and IBCs work well for this, but they take up valuable space when not in use. ECOPOOL Self-Raising Tanks require almost no storage space and can be stored as part of a Spill Kit. ECOPOOL is available in sizes from 75 to 575 litres.
